Welcome to Corozal

Corozal Town was built around the Maya ruins of Santa Rita just nine miles from the Belize/Mexico boarder. The town is mostly Spanish and it resembles the Mexican towns in Yucatan.

Some of the tourist attractions are the Mayan ruins of Cerros that sits on the edge of the Corozal Bay overlooking the town.

A trip in the Northern River can be very enjoyable; you can marvel the water lilies garden, come in contact with manatees, add new birds to your list, or go fishing for tarpons

Shopping in Corozal is a bargain at the Corozal Free Zone. Corozal is the gateway to Mexico and Cancun is only a six hour drive from the boarder.

Maya Island Air offers 3 daily flights to Corozal from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. From all other towns connect via Belize City.
